So many foggy and cloudy days lately, but the sun was streaming in today and lighting up the amaryllis. All five flowers in the first stalk are open now.

The clumps of grass create interesting patterns on top of the snow as the stalks twist in the wind and drag the seed head across the surface.

A little overnight fog put a nice layer of frost on everything.

There’s a bit of a clearing where some paths cross and there are a LOT of these growing. Given how many still have a full cluster of burs, it seems like a bit of a reproductive failure.

Talk about inflation – after 10 years, the penny has returned, but now it is a full ounce of fine silver! I really do like these chunky silver coins that the mint produces.

There was an early pewter ornament in August this year. A bit of a conflict – the lists say pewter is for the 10th anniversary 🤪.  In any case, that’s a lot of great Christmases!
